The Ibex-4000 (802.11ax) is a high-performance Wi-Fi 6/6E access point series designed for railways (EN 50155). The Ibex-4000 series includes both dual-band and tri-band Wi-Fi products. These products support 4x4 MU-MIMO, offer bandwidth support up to 160 MHz, and feature 1K-QAM modulation. For connectivity, the access point features two 2.5 or 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports. In case an access point is down (e.g., due to power loss), bypass relays ensure that other daisy-chained access points still have Ethernet.

The Ibex-4000 series also includes a Baseboard Management Controller (BMC), which offers intelligent monitoring and analysis of vital information such as boot processes, temperature, and voltage limits. In the event of a deviation, various actions can be taken. The BMC thus improves the reliability and efficiency of an access point. The Ibex-4000 series offers flexible powering options. The power is supplied either via an internal power supply with bypass relays or an internal power supply with PoE.

The Ibex-4000 series firmware (based on OpenWrt) provides a user-friendly web interface for management. The access point configurations as well as the management firmware can be updated remotely. The Ibex-4000 series also comes with a dedicated Trusted Platform Module (TPM 2.0). TPM increases device security by securely storing cryptographic keys and by protecting against unauthorized manipulation.
